Cass Lake-Bena Educators Promote Excellence Through Monthly Community-Focused Activities
The Cass Lake-Bena Educators Association (CLEA) is excited to announce a new initiative aimed at promoting monthly activities that celebrate and support our community while highlighting the amazing things happening within our schools.
A key part of this initiative is the CLEA Leader of the Month, a program designed to recognize students who may not always find themselves in the spotlight but make a significant positive impact in both our school and community. Each month, high school staff nominate students who exemplify kindness, leadership, and a commitment to bettering the world around them.
CLEA Leaders of the Month
🌟 December: Alexiah LaRose (12th Grade)
Alexiah consistently demonstrates a kind and supportive attitude, contributing positively to the school environment and setting an example for her peers.
🌟 January: William "Bobolink" Staples (10th Grade)
William has been recognized for his dedication to making a difference through his actions, both in the classroom and the community, inspiring others around him.
The CLEA Leader of the Month program is just one way Cass Lake-Bena Educators are working to uplift and celebrate the incredible students in our district. We are proud of Alexiah, William, and all our students who contribute to making our school and community a better place.
Stay tuned each month as we continue to highlight the exceptional students who embody the spirit of leadership and positivity!

🏀✨ Hello Panther Families! ✨🏀
It’s a Western Bank Gameday here at Cass Lake-Bena, and we’re excited to cheer on our Panthers! But that’s not all—our amazing Speech Team is also hosting a regional meet today!
With two big events happening, here’s what you need to know to support both our basketball players and speech students:
📢 Important Game Day Information:
1️⃣ Use the Middle School (MS) Doors:
All fans and families attending the basketball game, please enter through the Middle School doors only.
The Speech Meet will still be in progress when the C-Team game starts at 2:00 PM.
2️⃣ Follow Barriers & Signs:
There will be clear barriers and signs directing fans from both teams to the Middle School area.
If you see a sign stating “Do Not Enter,” please respect it—we want our Speech students to have a quiet space to do their best!
3️⃣ HS/MS Connecting Doors Open at 2:45 PM:
Doors connecting the High School and Middle School will open around 2:45 PM to allow us to transition the space for basketball.
Rest assured, all doors will be open before game time, and signs will help guide you to the correct areas.
4️⃣ Let’s Support Both Teams!
Today is a big day for Panther Nation—let’s help both our Basketball and Speech Teams succeed!
🙏 Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we accommodate both events. Together, we can make this day a great success for everyone involved!

LaRose Scores 1,000th Career Point Cass Lake-Bena’s Alexiah LaRose reached a major milestone Tuesday night, scoring her 1,000th career point during the Panthers’ win over a conference rival. The senior guard hit the historic shot in the second half, earning a standing ovation from the crowd and recognition from her teammates and coaches. Known for her scoring ability and leadership, LaRose has been a key player for the Panthers throughout her career. With her milestone now achieved, she’ll aim to help her team make a deep playoff run this season.

Due to weather related concerns the Boys Basketball Team bus has turned around and will be returning to the school. Your students should be reaching out to you ASAP to make you aware of the change.
The game vs Park Christian will be rescheduled for a later time and date.

Cass County Law Enforcement will be conducting a training exercise this afternoon at the High School and Middle School buildings. There will be multiple vehicles at the schools, and officers in full training gear. Training will begin at 3:00 PM and be completed around 5:45 PM. If you are attending the Junior High Basketball game this evening do not be alarmed if you see law enforcement in full gear as this is only a training exercise.
